2nd pick: #6 (Spice Is Nice) (2-1) - This daughter of 'Curlin' sold for $1,050,000 as a yearling in Sept. of 2018 at Keeneland. Unraced as a 2yo, she made her debut here at this trip Jan. 12 and won by 12 lengths as the 6-5 favorite stopping the clock in a solid 1:36 flat. In the Pletcher barn, she takes a big step up but is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Bayerness) (9-2) - Another undefeated filly, she won her first pair during the Fall in Kentucky including one at this one-turn mile Nov. 30 at Churchill Downs. A $350,000 daughter of 'Bayern', she's been working both steadily and above average on the deep surface at Payson Park and is capable of factoring if ready off the three-month layoff.
4th pick: #3 (Emily's Oasis) (12-1) - She broke her maiden in her fourth start at this one-turn mile at Churchill Oct. 27, then finished and even third almost 5 lengths in back of 'Bayerness' Nov. 30. On the sidelines since, she's working well above average at the Palm Meadows Center and may get a minor award if ready.
