3rd pick: #1 (Lovely) (3-1) - Heavily bet when debuting in an "off the turf" contest on Jan. 30, she raced evenly while finishing third of six. She's worked fast since and has a new trainer (Jimmy Jerkens), two of his last eight with new arrivals. Peter Blum home-bred by "Pulpit" is a win candidate.
4th pick: #5 (Scatcapade) (4-1) - Another making her debut, home-bred by "Scat Daddy" is in a good first out barn (Chris Clement 18%) and had a sharp half-mile gate breeze at Payson park Feb. 3.
5th pick: #8 (Wv Mountain Mama) (5-1) - She ships from New York where filly had no chance in a dirt sprint when she had a poor start when debuting on Jan. 16. Bred for the turf and she may impact at a very big price.
