Top pick: #5 (TALE OF THE DANCE) (3-1) - Gelding is racing back into shape following almost a 9 month layoff and will be stretching out in distance after rallying to finish 2nd and 3rd here in a pair of sprints facing tougher. Drops into a high priced claimer, Castellano gets aboard, and I like this 5yos chances.
nd pick: #10 (Geometry) (6-1) - Speedy sort finished a pace-setting 2nd here at this tag on Jan 20th in first race in just under 3 months. Blinkers go on today and he's a threat on the front-end.
rd pick: #8 (Conserve) (8-1) - He raced wide and finished 5 1/2 back og "Geometry" last out. Son of "Tapit" had run well in 6 straight prior to that and he must be given consideration at a square price.
th pick: #3 (Barrymore) (4-1) - Claimed in late October for $30000, gelding by "Lemon Drop Kid" hasn't raced since but has been in steady training at palm Meadows for trainer Joe Cheeks. More than capable if ready.
th pick: #2 (Oxford Street) (10-1) - Son of "Street Sense" cost the Darlet Stable $350K and is offered up for $50000 in his first start in a year. He'll race on the turn and around two-turns, both for the first time and does so with blinkers added. Tough call.
