2nd pick: #5 (Ruthyla) (7-2) - Speedy sort tired late after dueling through fast fractions to check in a close-up third here at this level Jan. 3. She had a tough outside post (11 of 12), draws much better and Irad Ortiz Jr stays aboard. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Big Boss Lady) (4-1) - She showed nothing here for a $32K tag in an 'off the turf' contest Jan. 23. However, she had finished second on the grass at that same price tag Jan. 1 and is dropping down to today's $16K tag for the first time. In the mix.
