Competitive last Fall at Belmont facing tougher, filly from the Pletcher barn has a fine series of works showing and I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Lookin Fine as Wine) (7-2) - Blinkers go on filly who has some speed and is dropping to a new low for her first since an even effort at Aqueduct Nov. 29 for a $40K tag. Trainer Dom Schettino is doing well here 4-2-1-1 and he has Javier Castellano aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Couple of Nikkis) (9-2) - A lightly raced home bred, she finished third facing tougher on the grass Oct. 27, then tired badly in an 'off the turf' contest Dec. 12. Back on the turf while having in value, it's noted Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard for this attempt.
4th pick: #5 (I'll Do It My Way) (6-1) - Competitive in both attempts, she missed by 2.5 lengths for a $35K tag Nov. 22. Only her second start, it was her first since July 7 and came in her grass debut. Filly has blinkers on and must be left in the mix.
