Top pick: #1 (COMMA TO THE TOP) - Talented and much imprived gelding by "Bwana Charlie" was cross-entered in the Bob Lewis" at Santa Anita but trainer Pete Miller decided to keep him on a "poly" surface( and away from Tapizar). He's won 5 in a row, including an easy win in the G1 "Cash Call Futurity" at Hollywood Park on Dec.18th. Working very fast since, he draws the rail, and is 2 for 2 on this surface. Very tough at a short price.
2nd pick: #5 (Positive Response) - Another who's much improved and he's won two stakes in a row including "California Derby" on this surface last out. Has a big bullet drill since and he can't be taken to lightly.
3rd pick: #4 (Silver Medallion) - Colt won the "Eddie Logan" on the Santa Anita turf on New Year's Eve and has been working steadily since. From the dangerous barn of Steve Asmussen and this will be this son of "Badge of Silver's" first race on this surface. It's of note that they reach out to Russell Baze today.
