Colt tired late after setting the pace in a nine-furlong turf contest at Santa Anita March 8. Back on the surface he debuted on Feb. 23, he has blinkers on and gets top billing.
2nd pick: #2 (Railsplitter) (4-1) - The second of the O'Neill trained pair, he finished 2nd going a mile on the grass Feb. 21 at Santa Anita for a $75K tag. He's worked fast since, has a flexible style, and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Temple of Sol) (6-1) - Lightly raced colt stretches out in distance after a pair of good local efforts sprinting at this level. The capable Steve Sherman is adding blinkers, and I think this colt can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #4 (Lookin for Revenge) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he missed by a 1/2-length at this level and distance here March 15. He only faced three rivals, so the effort may not be as good as the result. A contender, but no 'lock' at a short price.
