Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (ALLEVA) (5-2) - He ships up from Santa Anita where he finished second at this level going 6,5 furlongs on the grass Feb. 23. Colt has proven ability on the dirt and he'll be tough to beat if he handles the local Tapeta surface.
2nd pick: #8 (Koa) (3-1) - This son of 'Bodemeister' sold for $725,000 as a 2yo in training in March of 2018. Unraced until today, trainer Jerry Hollemdorfer (19% first out), ships him from Santa Anita where he's had eight published drills since Jan 11. An obvious win candidate if ready.
3rd pick: #7 (King Atahualpa) (5-1) - Colt has been on the sidelines since Nov. 11 and has worked six times here since Feb 12. He was competitive in all four starts here during the Fall and is in the mix if ready.
4th pick: #4 (Roman Rush) (10-1) - Longshot rallied to finish second of six, beaten 4 lengths racing at this level March 7. It was his 2nd back from a 6.5-month layoff, a career best, and this improving gelding is capable of factoring.
