Top pick: #1 (TAPPIN TOUGH) - Santa Anita shipper takes a big drop in price, races off a positive trainer switch to John Martin, and she'll be moving back to a synthetic surface for the first time since last summer. Martin wins at 33% rate with new arrivals, and he'll add blinkers to this colt for the first time. Son of Tapit has the rail and Russell Baze takes the ride. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Ultimate Question) - Recent maiden winner did so in wire to wire style after shipping from Santa Anita and a trainer change from Art to Steve Sherman. Gelding is clearly improving and is nicely spotted for his first race against winners.
3rd pick: #7 (Stu's Gone Wild) - Colt was an easy winner when debuting here Feb. 13 and was claimed that afternoon by Matt Chew for $8K and he sent this colt down to Santa Anita where he tired after being involved in a pace fight for twice this price. Comes back North and his speed makes him dangerous.
