Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (SERTAR) (2-1) - Speedy 5yo has been freshened up since Jan. 20 when trainer Andy Mathis claimed him here for $8,000. Speed/stalker was a winner that day, is working steadily, has the rail, and is dropping 7 lbs with apprentice Velez aboard.
2nd pick: #4 (Gain Ground) (5-2) - Santa Anita invader is taking a big drop in class for this attempt. He finished a close up fourth there March 1 when facing much tougher on the grass and has won on a poly surface in the past. A very strong win candidate and I could have easily made this gelding by 'Tapit' the top pick.
3rd pick: #3 (Journey to Run) (4-1) - No-speed type rallied from far back to win here at this distance for an $8,000 tag Feb. 16. He's won in the past for higher price tags, but will need a fast and/or contested pace for any chance at winning this.
