Top pick: #5 (L T RECKLESS) (2-1) - Of those that have started, this looks like a two-horse race on paper. This daughter of the fleet "Henny Hughes" has shown excellent early speed in her first pair facing tougher and trainer Doug O'Neill will drop her into a claimer and race her on real dirt, both for the first time. A local bullet half-mile work nine days ago gives her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (U R Lucky) (5-2) - Ontario-bred was bet down to favoritism when debuting here off of some fast works and she finished second after a poor start and a wide trip. Trainer Jeff Bonde (19% 2nd time out) is having a fine meet and this filly is an obvious win candidate from an inside post.
3rd pick: #4 (Artie's Fantasy) (15-1) - She debuted in the same Sept. 8 race as "Lucky" and finished far back after not being prepared for the break. Trainer Craig Lewis adds blinkers and this home-bred should run much better with a "clean" getaway.
4th pick: #6 (Stormin Blessing) (6-1) - Debuting filly by "Stormin Fever" is bred for speed and could grab a minor award at a big price if she has any talent.
