Top pick: #3 (MARION'SALILWICKED) (6-1) - Price play is lightly raced, well-bred, and in a winning barn (Bo Diodoro). Three-year-old raced evenly in a Northlands Park allowance on Aug. 12 in her first since Feb. 10 and has worked four times since. She drops to a new low and looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #6 (Spring Sarah) (2-1) - The probable favorite, filly ships in from Ferndale where she won back-to-back starts a week apart in late August. Speed/stalker is 2-for-3 on conventional dirt and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Warren's Lover ) (4-1) - Grey mare rallied to finish second here at this level on Sept. 6 in her best overall since last Dec. No-speed type would benefit the most if the pace is fast and/or contested.
4th pick: #1 (Golden Gab) (3-1) - Mare has almost as many wins (9) as the rest of this field combined (10). All of those have come at shorter trips, but she was competitive last out at Ferndale going 7/8ths. Speed/stalker has the rail, fits on figures, and is 8-for-18 on conventional dirt.
