Top pick: #5 (SILVER N SASSY) (3-1) - The field's most experienced filly, she's finished second in two of three since dropping into claimers. Stalker should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Tribal Bettors) (4-1) - She's taken money in both appearances, and last out showed much improved early speed in her second start. Daughter of "Tribal Rule" has the rail, and one of the perennial leading riders at this meet (Marty Pedroza) is aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Swiss Sugar) (6-1) - Home-bred has broken on top in both starts and has led until the final furlong in each. Speed is always dangerous on this surface, and daughter of "Swiss Yodeler" is a win candidate.
4th pick: #6 (U R Lucky) (8-1) - He's one of four debuting in this contest, and this Ontario-bred has a bullet half-mile drill from the gate at Del Mar nine days ago. In an excellent first out barn (Jeff Metz 20%), and his "go to" rider Edwin Maldonado is aboard.
