Top pick: #4 (APART) - Lightly raced and well-bred, he's from the trainer who brought you Blame and he's taken his time with this colt just like that one. Four-year-old rallied from far back to finish second in a small stake here Jan. 22 and that sets him up perfectly for this. Looks all set for his best.
2nd pick: #2 (Demarcation) - Veteran has good tactical speed and draws the rail for his first race since Nov. 26 when he finished in front of "Apart". Working steadily and he has a fine record on this surface(5-2-1-1). Seven-year-old gelding should be in this from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #3 (Mission Impazible) - His best race ever came on this surface last March whe he won the G2 Louisiana Derby on this surface. On the shelf for 9 months following a "troubled" trip in the Kentucky Derby (G1), he had a nice "tightener" for this when he finished second in a mile contest at Gulfstream Jan. 23. Trainer Todd Pletcher has him set up nicely.
