Top pick: #5 (WILLCOX INN) - Highly thought of colt by "Harlan's Holiday" broke his maiden first out at Arlington in an off the turf contest, then finished 3rd in both the Breeder's Futurity(G1) on the Keeneland "poly" and on the grass in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Turf (G2) at Churchill. Training fast locally for his first race since Nov.6th he the choice if this race remains on the turf.
2nd pick: #3 (Mavericking) - Son of "Empire Maker" has run well in all three of his turf starts (3-1-2-0) and they've all come on this surface. One run type should get a fast pace to rally into and it's of note that Shaun Bridgmohan is on this runner and not the Asmussen colt, #6 Great Mills.
3rd pick: #6 (Great Mills) - He's won two in a row on this surface, both sprinting, and his stalking style should play well as he stretches-out in distance for the first time.
4th pick: #4 (Moonbie) - The field's "wild card' has plenty of speed, is fresh, in a great barn(Tom Amoss), and comes off an easy wire to wire win sprinting on the dirt here Feb.7th. Stretches-out and tries the grass, both for the first time.
