Top pick: #6 (SNOW FALL) - Recent impressive maiden winner takes a big step up in her first facing winners. Daughter of "War Front" finished close up sprinting on the local turf but really put it together last out when she ran on the dirt in a switched contest going two turns. She stalked early, took over when asked, and drew off to an easy win. Trainer Mike Stidham has worked her three times since, the latest a near bullet 5 furlong move 6 days ago. The top pick.
2nd pick: #9 (Niji's Grand Girl) - Consistent (7-2-2-3) filly by "Candy Ride" finished a solid third last on the grass in the Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay Downs and in her previous start won an entry-level allowance going a one-turn mile at Gulfstream in her seasonal debut. Working fast in Florida before shipping and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Tapit Dancer) - In the barn of the leading trainer here (Steve Asmussen) and she ended her 2-year-old campaign last year with an easy maiden win at this distance ona sloppy track at Churchill Downs. She had a troubled start in her seasonal debut here and raced evenly once in stride. She can contend this afternoon at a nice price.
4th pick: #1 (Grandacious) - She had a troubled trip last out at Oaklawn in the Martha Washington Stakes, but that was the only sub-par effort in her career (6-2-1-2). Has the rail, good early speed, and she should be in this turning for home.
