A $450,000 son of 'Hard Spun', he draws a good post and he should relish the additional distance he travels in this spot. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #1 (Digital) (8-1) - He's gone 3-1-2-0 so far with all of his starts coming at this long meeting. He broke his maiden sprinting 6 furlongs Dec. 28, then finished second, a length behind today's rival 'Backberry Wine' Jan. 18 in his first facing winners. He's worked fast since, has a great post, and I think he can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #8 (Enforceable) (5-2) - Stretch runner rallied strongly to win the Lecomte Stakes (G3) here Jan. 18. Son of 'Tapit' seems to thrive on keeping busy and he'll like today's 9-furlong distance. No complaints from me if you like him to win right back.
4th pick: #7 (Blackberry Wine) (6-1) - The speedy sort is another who likes to stay active and he's won the last two times he's raced on the dirt. Working fast, he should be involved in every step and at a square price.
