He's won three of four overall and won the G2 Risen Star Stakes here going 8.5-furlongs Feb 20. It was his first back off almost a two month break and a career best so far. Working fast, has the rail, and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Greenpointcrusader) (4-1) - Speedy sort set a pressured pace following a bumping incident at the break and held to finish second, 3.5-lengths behind the brilliant 'Mohaymen' in the G2 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Jan 30. He won the G2 Champagne Stakes last fall at Belmont before receiving a poor ride in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Oct 31 at Keeneland.
3rd pick: #6 (Mo Tom) (5-2) - Very strong finisher won the Lecompte Stakes (G3) here Jan 16. Colt by 'Uncle Mo' followed that up with a troubled 3rd place finish in the G2 Risen Star Feb 20. He should love this longer trip and is an obvious win candidate.
4th pick: #9 (Dazzling Gem) (15-1) - He's taking a hue step up in class following a pair of wins at Oaklawn Park. He looked very sharp in both and still has ample room for upside.
5th pick: #4 (Conquest Windycity) (12-1) - He's won two in a row, including a handy score in his seasonal bow at Oaklawn Park Feb 19. Working very fast since, $800,000 son of 'Tiznow must be left in the mix.
