Top pick: #9 (JUSTIN PHILLIP) - Price play had a poor start last out and after rushing-up into the pace he tired badly in the Le Compte here a month ago. Working very fast for this and trainer Steve Asmussen will remove his blinkers today off a one race experiment. Impressive in his win on New Year's Day and he can win this at a nice price.
2nd pick: #3 (Decisive Moment) - Improving with each start and he won a $250K stakes at Delta Downs five weeks ago in his 3-year-old debut. Has a flexible style and if he repeats his latest win they could all be in trouble.
3rd pick: #4 (Pants on Fire) - He set the pace and held on stubbornly to finish a "head" back in the Le Compte (G3) stakes here on Jan. 22 and a repeat of that effort makes him a threat from the "get go."
4th pick: #5 (Mucho Macho Man) - He ran well in the G3 Holy Bull at Gulfstream on Jan. 30 in his first race off a two month break. Talented and fast, he finished second last fall going two-turns in the G2 Remsen at Aqueduct. Should be in this from start-to-finish.
