He lost her for $5,000 at the Fair Grounds where she ran second at this distance March 21. She ran third for a $10K tag here April 25 and was re-taken that evening. Broberg has won with 128 of 496 (26%) off the claim in 2018-19 and I like this one's chances.
2nd pick: #6 (Say Yes Again) (5-2) - Lightly raced and speedy, she's gone 4-1-1-0 so far and is stretching out beyond 6 furlongs for the first time. The 3yo has been freshened up since March 2 and enters off a bullet 5 furlong work here May 8. It's noted that Tim Thornton is aboard and he's won with 17 of 61 (28%) when riding for trainer Sam David Jr during 2018-19.
3rd pick: #1 (Born to D' wild) (4-1) - Filly was an easy gate-to-wire winner at the Fair Grounds March 21, a contest where she set slow fractions and was three lengths in front of 'Memory Magic' at the finish. 4yo tired badly facing tougher here April 6 and is capable of factoring with her 'A' game.
4th pick: #3 (Kodiak Sky) (10-1) - No-speed type has been idle since Feb. 13 at Delta Downs. Most of her best races have been here 3-2-0-1 and a fast and/or contested pace would help her late running tactics out.
