Top pick: #6 (NATIONAL DEFENCE) (5-2) - Recent maiden winner looked sharp that evening and this well-bred speed/stalker will be cutting back from a mile to 6-furlongs. Stalker is nicely spotted and should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
2nd pick: #7 (Hi Charlie) (3-1) - Another that was a maiden winner last out, he went gate-to-wire that day in what was by far a career best. Still improving, he's one of two ertered by trainer Karl Broberg and the pair race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #1 (Tensas Evidence) (4-1) - The second of the Broberg pair, set/pressed the pace and held gamely to finish second here at this level on April 25th. Speed/stalker has the rail and should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #8 (Charlie's Ring) (6-1) - No-speed type rallied mildly to finish fourth, 4 1/2 lengths back of "Tensas" on April 25th. His outside post is of no help, so unless the pace collapses, a small slice is his ceiling.
