2nd pick: #6 (Thunder Bill) (7-2) - Long time maiden comes off a career best when he ran 3rd of 12, beaten 1 1/2 lengths going a mile at this level April 18th. It was his first in two months ad he had a difficult post (12th of 12) in that two-turn contest. Barn shortens him up in distance and 5-year-old gelding is a win threat.
3rd pick: #1 (Fatal Strike) (4-1) - He's raced evenly in three shorter sprints since coming off a 2 1/2 month layoff on March 6th. Has the rail, stretches out a bit, and can fator with his best.
4th pick: #2 (Alta's Hippie Dude) (5-1) - FOur-year-old finished second two back at this level going 5.5-furlongs, then raced evenly in his latest at the same trip. He's going farther this evening and needs to improve for anything more than a small slice.
5th pick: #11 (El Tiempo Bandido) (20-1) - He does have a bit of speed but has been backing up badly in his last three starts. He moves from the rail to the outside and at this distance that's a plus. Don't just dismiss.
