Daughter of 'Bellamy Road' was making her local debut and first start in 2.5 months. She draws a ground-saving post and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #8 (Color Me Ready) (7-2) - She drops down to race for a $5,000 price tag for the first time. Competitive in three straight here at this distance and all came against much tougher fields than this. Four-year-old is a very strong win candidate and I could have easily made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #5 (We Girls Rule) (3-1) - Filly rallied to finish second, beaten a 1/2 length here at this level and distance April 7. However, in her follow up May 9 racing under similar conditions, she showed absolutely nothing when losing by 21 lengths. If you're willing to 'throw out' that effort 4-year-old is a factor in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (Deez Jitterbug) (8-1) - No-speed type is another dropping down to this $5K tag for the first time. Her outside post is a negative and believe a minor award at a square price is her ceiling.
