Home bred did not break sharply from his inside post and rallied to finish 3rd of 10, beaten a half-length. Drops a bit, moves out in the gate, and meets a much weaker group than he lined up against last out. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Minister Henny) (3-1) - Nicely bred gelding has early speed and comes off a pace-pressing third-place finish here facing special weight foes on June 14th. It was a solid effort and was his first ever on the grass. Three-year-old by "Henny Hughes" looks like the main danger.
3rd pick: #1 (Tough Tap) (8-1) - He showed some speed before tiring badly going 7-furlongs on the dirt for a $7500 tag on June 18th. It was his first since debuting in late Feb. of 2013 and trainer Carl Woodley moves him up in class and switches him to the turf. Four-year-old by "Pleasant Tap" is bred for the surface and could impact at a big price.
4th pick: #5 (Tough Honor) (10-1) - Gelding raced evenly in the same April 24th race as "Hunterwood" and was about 7-lenghst back of him on the wire. Positive effort was his first on the grass and he may grab a share at long odds.
