She stumbled badly at the start and meets a very weak field in tonight's finale. Trainer Joel Berndt is 8-for-20 (40%) at the meet and he shortens this one up in distance. 2nd pick: #4 (Hidden Jewel) (4-1) - One of three making their debuts, filly has a steady work tab showing is from a capable barn (Lee Thomas). Daughter of 'Brahms' need not be much to factor against the balance of this field.
3rd pick: #8 (Dreamin Tiger) (6-1) - Lightly-raced mare drops to a new low and is racing with blinkers on. Speedy sort should be involved until the head of the stretch and is a threat if she can stay on better in the final furlong.
4th pick: #9 (Spring Bride) (5-1) - Even paced filly may grab a share at a big price, especially if 'Hidden Jewel' has no ability first time out.
