Top pick: #5 (ROMESA) (7-2) - Blinkers go on filly who had a poor outside post and a very wide trip here racing at this level and distance Nov. 2. The race was her first in two months and trainer Tom Amoss has her making back-to-back starts for the first time. $75K yearling by "Sky Mesa" has a much better post today and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Zendrella) (9-5) - The probable favorite, she's been bet heavily in both starts and missed by a nose here Oct. 16 going 5-furlongs. Top barn (Bret Calhoun) stretches her out and Texas-bred is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Joker's Magic Girl) (3-1) - Filly has been competitive in all three starts and last out rallied to finish third here despite a slow start. Stretch runner would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
4th pick: #1 (Queen Bayou) (8-1) - Debuting La.-bred, has some fine works on her AM tab and draws the rail. Can factor, but the top pair look very tough in this spot.
