2nd pick: #8 (Piranha) (6-1) - He comes from a good barn (Brett Brinkman) and was competitive here at this level and distance on Nov. 8. Freshened up since Dec. 1 and 4-year-old has a pair of solid works showing at Evangeline for his return.
3rd pick: #4 (Shine He Will) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he ships from the fair Grounds where he set a pressured pace and held to finish third there racing at this level on Jan. 18. He has the rail and will be shortening up an 1/8th of a mile for this attempt.
4th pick: #3 (Robin's Sport) (7-2) - Speedy and improving gelding moves up in class after a pair of good efforts at the Fair Grounds facing $20K state-bred maidens. His early gear makes him a bit dangerous.
