Top pick: #5 (CURLEY JOE) (4-1) - Well backed in his debut, gelding set/pressed the pace and held to finish fourth racing here at this level going 6.5-furlongs on Nov. 6. Home bred has worked since and his connections are stretching him out in distance. Three-year-old gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Earl and Vinegar) (5-2) - Long time maiden has finished second in two of his last three and did so here at this tag and trip on Oct. 25. it was his first in almost two months and first here at Delta Downs. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #11 (Prince Champagne) (5-1) - Veteran maiden has finished second and third in a pair here at this meet. In fine shape and this no-speed type is a late threat if he scratches in off the also-eligible list.
4th pick: #3 (North Ridge Light) (4-1) - He has no early speed, but has made up a lot of ground in four consecutive starts. Gelding was less than a length off of "Earl and Vinegar" last out and must be left in the mix.
