Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (DOC'S DENITA) (7-2) - This Texas-bred has been two months of freshening following three starts at Remington Park facing tougher. She finished third there for a $25K tag going 6 furlongs Oct. 13 and is dropping down to run for a $10K claiming price and is shortening up to 5 furlongs. I give her a slim edge if ready.
2nd pick: #8 (Lorrie G) (8-1) - Longshot has early speed but has tired badly in her last pair. Heavily bet here at this tag and trip Nov. 8, she backed up readily after setting the pace until the 1/4 pole. A daughter of 'Mineshaft', she should be sharp off the 2.5-month break.
3rd pick: #4 (Sweet and Spicy) (5-2) - The probable favorite, she tired late to finish 5th of 10, beaten 5.5 lengths when debuting here at this tag and distance Dec. 12. She has both the leading trainer (Karl Broberg) and jockey (Tim Thornton) in her corner and is an obvious threat at a short price.
4th pick: #3 (Camp Washita) (9-2) - She tired badly after rushing up following a troubled break when debuting here facing Dec. 15 at Remington Park. From a capable barn (Judy Pruitt), she drops her down in class and I think this Oklahoma bred can factor with an alert beginning.
