Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (SOLDIERS LETTERS) (8-1) - Longshot shortens up a bit in his third back from a four month layoff. Speed/stalker has blinkers on and I think he has a solid shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #4 (Old Pep N Step) (4-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old has been on the sidelines since Aug. 23. He runs off a private trainer change to Brett Brinkman and he's shown enough in the past to contend tonight if ready.
3rd pick: #10 (Trail My Tail) (7-2) - Texas invader has the best early speed and has been facing a bit better going shorter a Retama Park. Four-year-old is dangerous if he gets an easy early lead from his outside post.
4th pick: #1 (Debriyn) (5-2) - He's finished second here in two straight at this level. Long time maiden missed by a 'nose' Dec. 14 in what was his best effort in 19 starts. Has the rail and is a threat, but is no 'lock' at a short price.
