Top pick: #1 (SINGLE MALT GIRL) - Much improved in her 2nd start, she set the pace until the 1/16th pole when she weakened to finish 2nd at this tag and trip. Trainer Mike Gorham added blinkers and lasix that day and she looks very tough to beat in here from her inside post.
2nd pick: #7 (Pet Me Pet Me) - When last in action she tired after pressing the pace at Hollywood Park sprinting for $18K and now switches coasts, has a new trainer (Jonathan Sheppard), drops in price, and tries real dirt for the first time. Very dangerous foe.
3rd pick: #4 (Miss Crabtree) - Runs without blinkers for the first time and filly by "Bluegrass Cat" has a bit of early speed. May need to rate in this spot as our top choice looks like the front-runner. Could get a small share.
