Top pick: #5 (All D'NIGHT) (3-1) - Home bred has the best early speed of those that have started and has been freshened up since Aug. 23. Filly has been heavily backed in all four starts and is dropping to a new low in price for this attempt. She gets the call in a weak field.
2nd pick: #3 (San Gregoria) (4-1) - Daughter of "Fairbanks" showed considerable improvement when switched to the grass in her second start. She broke fast and chased the pace while wide before weakening in the final furlong. Given five weeks of rest, trainer Kelly Deiter moves her back to the dirt and drops her from $30,000 down to a $20K tag.
3rd pick: #1 (Farwells Runnin) (5-1) - One of four fillies making their debuts, she's working steadily and draws the rail. In a capable barn (Shellaine Brown) and she need not be much to factor first out against this group.
4th pick: #6 (Woman of Dreams) (12-1) - Another debuting miss, her works are of the stamina building type but she does have a solid gate breeze showing here on Sept. 4. Trainer Lynn Ashby has won with 6-of-30 first timers over the past 21 1/2 months. May factor at long odds.
