Top pick: #2 (TIZSILK) - Claimed just under a year ago by Cody Autry for $15,000 gelding has gone (8-5-2-0) since that time including winning three of four here last season. Training fast for his first race since early Jan. he draws the rail and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (It's Never Too Late) - He finished second last out facing similar in his first off a Pete Walder claim and gelding has been racing sharp since last summer. Speed/stalker is a win candidate and has a recency edge on the top pick. Almost put him in the first slot.
3rd pick: #1 (Blue Whistler) - Part of an entry with Senor Fuego stalker is in excellent shape and in a good barn (Mark Shuman). He's not as accomplished as the top pair, but could hit the exotics.
4th pick: #9 (Song Cycle) - He's raced well in his two starts this year, one at Gulfstream and the most recent at Pimlico. Has enough speed to stay close early and make a late run.
