Top pick: #3 (BECKHAM BEND) - Nice claim on February 15th as trainer Diane Alvarado reached in and took him from the Clement barn for $35,000. Son of "Invisible Ink" finished 2nd in both his starts for the new barn in entry level allowances. This starter-allowance is a nice spot for him to pick up a win. The trainer had a winner here the other day.
2nd pick: #4 (Victory Sign) - Consistent sort is very lightly raced and likes his races spaced well apart (like today). He comes off a solid 3rd place finish at Tampa on March 7th. Contender.
3rd pick: #7 (Valise) - Claimed on April 1st by Pete Walder for $35,000, new trainer immediately sent him in for a two month break. Returns today in a nice spot and Walder is lethal off the claim (29%) and layoffs (30%).
4th pick: #8 (Ikan) - Speedy son of "Pikepass" was impressive breaking his maiden on May 13th sprinting on the dirt, his first race in 11 months. Tries the grass for the first time, but his trainer(Randy Nunley) is on a bit of a roll lately.
