Top pick: #1 (MATADOR RUN) - Speedy runner finished a pace-setting second last out at Saratoga travelling seven furlongs. He's sent around two-turns today by the Pletcher barn and runner draws the rail. Has a stalking gear if someone else wants the top. Can win this with either strategy.
2nd pick: #14 (Tsunami Sammy) - Home-bred by "Golden Missile" was sharp in his debut at Charles Town drawing away late after stalking the early pace. He's had the past 2 1/2 months off, but is working sharply for a "cagey" trainer (Gary Capuano).
3rd pick: #6 (Mizzen's Wake) - Not sure if he'll go on the main track as he's raced on the turf in three of his last four. Did well last winter at the Fair Grounds on the dirt and he's a threat if he runs.
