Top pick: #8 (LOVE AND FAITH) (8-1) - Daughter of "Corinthian" broke her maiden here on Aug. 19 racing at this distance. Nice effort and she's since come back with a bullet 5-furlong breeze three days ago. In the Sheppard barn, and think she'll run well at a square price.
nd pick: #1 (Miss Topgallant) (15-1) - Daughter of "Mizzen Mast" broke her maiden here in a sharp effort July 22nd, then tired at this level on Aug. 8 in a contest that was switched to the dirt. Stalker fits, has the rail, and is a threat.
rd pick: #11 (Take it Inside) (6-1) - Filly likes this course (5-1-1-2), and her speed/stalking style should play well in a contest where most like to come from off the pace. Home-bred should be involved from gate-to-wire.
th pick: #5 (Controlled Neglect) (8-1) - Another recent maiden winner, she enters in career best form and is nicely spotted in her first facing winners.
th pick: #6 (She's My Afleet) (6-1) - Strong finisher has no early speed, but rallied from far back to miss by less than a length here at this level and distance July 22nd. The faster the pace, the better her chances.
