Top pick: #1 (INAUGURATION) - Talented gelding is lightly raced and in the barn of "Hall of Fame" trainer Jonathan Sheppard. He's (4-2-1-0), all on the turf and the lone sub-par race came in a stakes at Penn National when he made a strong move and leveled off late. Tries the dirt for the first time and draws the rail. Can win this if he takes to it.
2nd pick: #6 (Presto Change O) - Stretches-out in distance for his 2nd back off a long layoff. Has plenty of speed, is in a good barn (Steve Klesaris), and continues to work fast. Could be a handful if he clears off early.
3rd pick: #5 (A Student) - Stone-closer races for the first time since March 27th at Oaklawn. His only poor effort came in a race on a "sloppy" track, but he was competitive that day finishing 4th. In a good barn (McLean Robertson), colt by "Afleet Alex" is working steadily and his trainer wins at a 20% rate off of long layoffs.
