Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (CAPTAIN RICH) (5-2) - Well backed when debuting in a large (11) and more talented field April 8 at Keeneland, he made a left turn coming out of the chute and raced evenly once in stride. Freshened up since, he's working well here, is dropping a bit in class, and trainer Larry Jones wins at a 20% rate second-time out.
2nd pick: #7 (Booboothebarbarian) (4-1) - On the sidelines since late November, he was competitive in both starts during the fall, one each at Penn National and the Fair Grounds. Stalker is working steadily here for his return and is dangerous if ready.
3rd pick: #3 (Charlie Hustle) (8-1) - Away since late November, speed/stalker returns off of some steady works for a new trainer (Lynn Ashby). This 3-year-old by 'Flatter' was competitive in two of four sprints during the fall and is a threat with his best.
4th pick: #5 (Wendy Wend) (8-1) - Speedy grey colt is another coming back from a long layoff (Sept. 30). He went 6-0-3-2 here last year racing here and should be involved from start-to-finish if in shape for his return.
