Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (PARTY ROCK) (5-2) - Speedy mare ships in from Pimlico where she tired in a dirt sprint May 11 facing $5,000 starter-allowance foes. A winner of her previous pair on the main track at Penn National, trainer Jamie Ness switches her to the grass. Has a big recency edge on many and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #3 (Summer Frock) (8-1) - She's making her fourth start back following a 7-month layoff. Her one turf effort in that trio was an even effort facing much tougher March 31 at Gulfstream and think this veteran mare is a win candidate at a big price.
3rd pick: #1 (Just too Much) (4-1) - Mare has been on the sidelines since Oct. 27. Stalker has had most of her success racing on synthetic surfaces but has won sprinting on the grass in the past. She has the rail and can factor if ready.
4th pick: #4 (Southern n' Sassy) (3-1) - Another coming off a long layoff (Oct. 9), she runs off a positive trainer change to Gerald Bennett (19% with new arrivals) and 37% off of lengthy absences. A career turf sprinter, 8yo is a late threat if in shape.
