Top pick: #1 (TRINITY RUN) - Very speedy grey gelding has won two in a row since being claimed in late May and 4-year-old has the best early speed and draws the rail. He went wire-to-wire here going 6 furlongs racing for $30K Aug. 9 in the best start of his 11 race career. Barn brings him back quickly, raises him in price, and shortens him up in distance. Very tough to beat this afternoon.
2nd pick: #6 (Philly Bound) - Another speedy veteran, he has stalking ability and that will come in handy in this spot. Goes turf-to-dirt for this contest and has a bullet work Aug. 13 at Penn National that should set him up nicely for this attempt.
3rd pick: #1a (It's Never To Late) - He's coupled in the betting with No. 1 Trinity Run and its likely that only one of them will compete. Former stakes winner has won four of last six starts, fits at the level and distance, and is a win candidate if he goes it alone.
