Top pick: #4 (SERIOUSLY SIMON) (7-2) - Like most in here he's been at this 2l condition for a long time. However, he's been competitive in three straight here and stalker is getting a veteran rider aboard replacing an apprentice. He gets the call but make sure you reverse your exactas with him.
2nd pick: #3 (Throw the Dice) (10-1) - Clearly the main speed, he tired badly last out after opening a big early while setting quick fractions. Longshot has a solid shot if he can relax a bit more in the early stages.
3rd pick: #1 (Same Time) (7-5) - The probable heavy favorite, he ships down from Monmouth where he raced evenly facing tougher going 6-furlongs. It was his first facing winners and veteran Steve DiMauro will drop him in class and have him going around two-turns for the first time. An obvious win candidate, but at a short price. No-speed type earned the highest figure that day than any of these has achieved and is a major factor if the speed doesn't hold.
4th pick: #2 (Smarty' n Me) (8-1) - He enters off a career best when he rallied while wide to finish fifth of nine, beaten five lengths facing tougher on the Penn National turf July 30th.
