Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (STREET PLAY) (5-2) - Lightly-raced and well bred, filly has been on the sidelines since April. Daughter of 'Street Sense' finished third that afternoon going a mile on the Tampa Bay Downs turf facing special weight foes. In a top barn (Arnaud Delacour) he drops her in class and stretches her out an additional half-mile. Three-year-old meets a weak field and is the top selection.
2nd pick: #9 (Talaria) (7-2) - Mare raced evenly here going 8.5 furlongs on the this course Aug 11. A useful effort it was her first start in almost 15 months. Five-year-old is bred to handle this longer trip and is dangerous.
3rd pick: #7 (Blackbirdhasspoken) (8-1) - Long-winded type makes her local debut after a pair of competitive efforts, one each at Penn National and Philadelphia Park. Much improved over the past two months and this filly will have no trouble handling this 1 1/2 mile distance.
4th pick: #2 (Conquest Valkyrie) (5-1) - Daughter of 'Giant's Causeway' hasn't raced since debuting at Woodbine July 31 of 2015. She raced evenly that day in a turf sprint and did so following a troubled break. She has a new trainer (Mike Gorham) and this Canadian bred could factor if ready.
