Top pick: #1 (PEARL TURN) (6-1) - Daughter of "Bernardini" cost $225K as a yearling back in Sept. of 2011 and returns to her country of birth after beginning her career with a trio of starts in Ireland. She's gone 3-0-1-2 so far, is training fast for this attempt. Three-year-old has the rail, and lasix added, and trainer Graham Motion has excellent numbers in all the relevant catagories.
2nd pick: #6 (Dulcedumbre) (8-5) - The probable favorite, filly by "Candy Ride" ships back from Philly Park where she finished a pace-chasing second at this trip on Aug. 4. She's run well here before and gets blinkers added for the first time. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Jet Away) (6-1) - Improving Phipps home-bred exits the same Aug. 4 at Philly Park as "Dulce" and she held until mid-stretch after setting a pressured pace. Working fine since and jockey Joe Bravo is in from Monmouth for the ride.
