Top pick: #8 (DELVIN'S A HATER) (2-1) - Very consistent (14-2-4-4) for a runner at this tag, he was an easy winner at Pimlico on April 21st when racing for a $4,500 price to clear the 2l condition. Race was his first since last July and first off a private trainer change to Jamie Ness. Gelding followed that up with a neck loss at Penn National on May 3rd and he'll be tough to beat this afternoon.
2nd pick: #5 (Monroe's Hope) (4-1) - Speedy and lightly raced, he's another consistent (10-2-3-3) sort and he has a fine local record (4-1-1-2). Drops to the tag of his last win and goes fresh off a seven week break. Dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Echo Bye) (6-1) - Pimlico shipper comes off a career best when he rallied to win there on May 5th to clear the 2l condition. In an excellent small barn (Ron Alfano) and this gelding may grab a share at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Finally Together) (3-1) - Ontario-bred has run well since switching from the Woodbine "poly" to conventional dirt and comes into off a narrow loss at this price at Penn national April 13th. Claimed in early March by Heather Hollahan, she has him working well for his first Delaware appearance.
