Top pick: #4 (SHROUD) - Daughter of "Dixie Union" finished a disappointing third last out as a heavy favorite with no visible excuse. Drops slightly and a repeat of her previous effort (a fine pace-chasing second) will get the job done.
2nd pick: #3 (Vicarious Miss) - Returns from a long layoff (8 1/2 months) with some fine works and a new trainer (Pete Walder). Daughter of the "Vicar" drops into a claimer off the rest and her trainer is one of the best in the business with layoffs of this length (five for his last seven).
3rd pick: #2 (Warm Climate) - Speedy filly makes start No. 21 and cuts back to a sprint for the first time in nine starts. Should be fit enough and a small award is certainly possible.
