Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (MOLASSES BROWN) (4-1) - He ships in from Maryland where he raced evenly in a pair of grass races, one each at Laurel and Pimlico. Price play has been competitive on the dirt in the past and has a bit more positional speed than most. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Uncle Woodrow) (7-2) - From the dangerous Ness barn, He's been on the sidelines for the past 2.5 months. He returns a NEW gelding and runs without blinkers for the first time. Ness stretches him out in distance (24%) and this 5-year-old worked a bullet five furlongs at Pimlico April 17.
3rd pick: #4 (Running the Vale) (5-1) - The main speed, he runs off a two-month vacation. Trainer Gary Capuano drops him to a new low in price and has him trying a two-turn distance for the first time. Home bred will lead hem as far as he can.
4th pick: #6 (Beware the Fury) (3-1) - Freshened up since April 2, he's taking a big drop in class. California import raced very poorly in this East Coast debut facing tougher at Laurel and should find this group more in line with his talent level.
