Top pick: #5 (BELGIAN BEER) - Claimed last fall by Jason Egan, he sent this runner in for a six month break and 4-year-old has been competitive in all three starts since returning. Last pair saw him run second at this tag and distance and stalker should get a solid pace to rally into. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Blue Right By) - Had some promise last summer when he was two-years-old, but he hasn't progressed at all since last fall. He did run well at Philly Park July 17 in his first start off a trainer switch to Chris Grove. Barn brings him back quickly, stretches him out in distance, and he draws the rail. Dangerous on the distance increase.
3rd pick: #6 (Saigon Story) - Dropped into a claimer last out for the first time, he was an easy maiden winner here June 22 racing for $7.5K. Colt was claimed that day by Mike Simone and he brings him back quickly and bumps him up in price. Think he'll run well in this spot.
