Premium Pick
(# 3) COOL HAND LUCA - He makes his third start off a layoff and second for a tag. Ran well despite a very wide post (13) after angling over at the half. Better post, drops just a tad and he should run well in this field. Runner has been well-supported at the windows right along, so he must have some ability.

(# 10) Our Papa Joe - Only 1 1/2 lengths behind the top pick in last and he appears to be getting the hang of the game. Another who's taken his share at the windows, especially in the races at Hollywood after a 2 1/2 month vacation. Talamo sticks with him, and he'll run well against these.

(# 6) Ayvenimento - Comes back after 2 1/2 months on the side. This will be his first Polytrack race. Raced well enough to be considered a possible win candidate in this field. Has a good solid drill at Santa Anita on July 5.

(#'s 8 and 12) Run Forest Run and Jd. Gallivan - Forest makes his second start off a layoff. Showed speed in last, and he's another who's been bet before. Was with a crafty trainer in Mike Mitchell, he's with another now (Miller). "Judge" hasn't raced in over two years. Works indicate he's ready, but that's a long time away.
