Premium Pick

Top pick: #8 (HUSTLIN NU) (5-1) - Recent maiden winner did so in style at Hollywood on June 22nd, racing for a $20K tag. Race was his first in 20 months, and he was bet down to favoritism that afternoon. He's worked very fast since, and trainer Mike Puype has him conservatively spotted in his first facing winners.

2nd pick: #12 (Robie the Cat) (4-1) - Freshened up since April 21st, son of "Distorted Humor" will be dropping into a career soft spot, and is moving from the turf to the "poly." Working fine, draws a nice outside post, has good early speed, and trainer Rick Mandella has him at a price where he's a strong win candidate.

3rd pick: #6 (Cosmic Heat) (6-1) - Just like "Lu," he was an easy maiden winner last out at Hollywood in his first back from a 5 1/2 month layoff. Speed/stalker will be tough if he can repeat the "figure" earned that afternoon.

4th pick: #7 (Very Unusual) (6-1) - On the sidelines since late Oct., trainer Barry Abrams has him working steadily and above average for his return. More than capable of impacting if ready with his best.
