2nd pick: #10 (Denzel) (5-2) - Baffert-trained colt is the probable favorite and will be taking a big drop in class for his first since Jan. 19. He's working nicely, has early speed, and is the likely winner if "Concorde" fails. It would have been easy to put him on top.
3rd pick: #3 (Mary Helen's Storm) (6-1) - He hasn't raced in exactly one year and when last in action he missed by a neck here racing at this tag 7 trip. Working way above average and a threat if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Tale Be Told) (8-1) - Gelsing hasn't raced since April 7th of 2012, but is training steadily for a trainer (Mike Puype) who wins at an 18% rate off of long layoffs.
5th pick: #7 (Arizona Wildcat) (5-1) - He rallied to finish second last out and went past "Concorde" for the place spot in the last 1/16th. Solid effort came off an 11 month layoff and he must be left in the exacta and tri mix.
